Economy and Stewardship

Have you heard that God has an economy and that we are His stewards?

God's economy (greek word: oikonomia) is His arrangement or plan to dispense Himself into man to produce the Body of Christ for His expression. He has entrusted man with the riches of His divine, eternal life that include: love, light, holiness, righteousness, etc.

We, as believers, are the stewards (greek word: oikonomos). The stewardship of man is man's participation in God's economy by dispensing the riches of Christ into the believers as their food and enjoyment. What a high calling we have!

This website covers the verses in the New Testament that mention economy/stewardship, the definition of the root (lexical study), and the commentary or critical interpretation (exegetical study). For an in-depth commentary about the economy of God, see the site God's Economy.
